Most addiction websites are selling something. Treatment beds, leads to facilities, premium directory listings, advertising. The information you find on those sites is shaped by what they need you to do next.
TreatAddictions.com is built differently. The articles on this site aren't sponsored. There's no paid placement in search results. There are no per-call fees and no lead-broker arrangements with treatment programs.
The directory works like this: every program that meets basic licensing and accreditation standards is listed for free, sorted by location and your filters, regardless of whether they pay us. Programs that pay a flat subscription receive deeper verification (we contact them directly, confirm their license is current, confirm their accreditation, and confirm the services they advertise match what they actually offer) and a Verified badge that reflects that work. The badge is something we earn for them; it's not something they buy.
If a paying program doesn't meet the verification standard, we don't list them as Verified, regardless of whether they're paying.
